So, Horizon is the latest server on a list of servers owned by Hydro (starting at Core, where Almighty Bronzong, Hydrostatics and I first started running the servers together in a sense). However, this doesn't make Horizon any less valued - in fact, it's more advanced than many of the servers we've had in the past. With all of the newer things we have comes questions, and I'm here to answer a few.
How do I get global auth?
- You can earn global auth (+ or higher) by being a great presence on the server (and to an extent, the forums). You can use /faq staff on the server to see more information on becoming globally promoted, but it's the same-old, same-old: be a good user, follow rules, and be active on the server, server and/or forum events, and on the forums. While this is not a guarantee in any shape, way, or form, it definitely helps improve your image in the eyes of the staff.
How do I get custom avatars?
- You can earn them for free by being global users, but otherwise you can buy them in the shop on Horizon (use /shop on the server) for 5 bucks. Earn bucks by winning tournaments, though official tournaments and events will give you more. If you want an avatar made, click here for more information.
I saw people battling on something they called 'HSSB'. What does this stand for?
- It stands for Horizon Super Staff Bros., and it contains a bunch of Pokemon that both Horizon server staff and regular users are given a Pokemon with movesets, abilities, EVs and special moves of their choice. Check out TheGodofPie's thread for more information.
How do I buy Pokemon cards with my bucks?
- First, type /packshop, and then buy the packs you want. Each pack contains three (3) cards chosen at random. Depending on the card you get, a certain amount of points are given to you and you can advance on the Card Ladder (/cardladder). Possible event coming soon for the card ladder, so stay tuned!
Can I suggest events?
- Of course you can! Message a global staff member (% or higher) with your idea, and we will decide on your idea!
